Summary:
The Marketing Communications Director will use strong B2B marketing communications skills combined with strategic marketing experience to lead the development and execution of internal and external communication activities for each of Balchem's Human Nutrition & Health (HNH) businesses. The successful candidate will quickly gain a comprehensive understanding of all four HNH business, customers and build effective communications & digital strategy to drive the business and brands forward. The individual must combine proven experience in strategic marketing with a strong understanding of human nutrition and health industry. The individual will lead the HNH marketing communications team and will work in partnership with sales, business development, R&D and innovation. The individual will serve as the internal expert in digital tools, trends and bring best practices in both B2B and B2C marketing communication to the HNH business. This position requires a deep understanding of B2B communications, promotion, media management, digital marketing, strategy development, new premium ingredient launch along with strong people skills.
Essential Functions:
o Develop deep understanding of the market, emerging trends, competitive landscape and Balchem's relative positioning to develop an effective communications strategy o Deliver strategic integrated communications plans to support HNH business growth objectives and strategic priorities o Manage external partners, including agencies, designers, printers and freelancers, and associated budgets to ensure strategic and cost-effective use of services o Develop HNH products brand strategy, creative and execution plan to drive higher awareness and adoption of HNH brands o Design and manage the digital marketing campaign schedule around campaigns, tradeshows and promotional events to maximize return on investment o In close collaboration with strategic marketing directors, manage product launches for including oversight of asset creation and implementation of enhanced content o Lead major tradeshow and strategic events planning and execution o Drive continuous improvement of HNH website to improve traffic, SEO ranking and enhanced brand equity o Provide functional excellence to marketing communications activities leading to customer value proposition to ensure both short- and long-term health of business o Communicate complex information in an easily understood and thoughtful manner both within the company and externally o Execute marketing campaigns and leverage analytics to gain market insights and measure performance with the goal of optimizing customer engagement strategy REQUIREMENTS:
o Minimum of 10 years of marketing and communications experience in dietary supplements ingredients and/or food and beverage ingredients industry. o Strong understanding of B2B and B2C marketing tools and messaging o Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university preferably in business or a technical discipline. MBA is highly desirable. o Global marketing experience, especially in Europe and Latin America, is strongly preferred. o Strong network of industry relationships and editorial network o Excellent communication and presentation skills o Ability to deal with ambiguity, navigate uncertain situations and drive for clarity o Strong innovative mindset with proven track record of successfully launching premium, science-based ingredients in health and nutrition space o Understanding and successful applications of how to enable teams across a matrix organization o Decisive planning and execution skills while maintaining a good judgement in a fast-paced environment o Uncompromising attitude towards the values of the company and safety at workplace o Strong analytical skills, experience with metrics, KPI's, CRM, Power BI and web analytics o Key Leadership Competencies:

Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
Minimum Qualification
