NAFI NY is a multi service agency that provides programming and individualized support services to youth and families in a variety of settings across New York State.

The Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT) program is seeking a compassionate, dedicated BSFT Bilingual Therapist (English and Spanish) to provide clinical services to families in Orange County and other counties. The BSFT Bilingual Therapist has a pivotal role in providing clinical services to families to address family challenges, assist with achieving goals and support the safety and well-being of children and families. To engage and effectively work with families within their natural environment, the BSFT Therapist provides clinical services to families in their homes and communities.
Responsibilities of the BSFT Bilingual Therapist include:
Develop and maintain therapeutic relationship with all family members
Provide therapeutic services to families in accordance with BSFT model
Conduct weekly in sessions with the entire family, primarily in the family home
Participate in all BSFT implementation activities including training, supervision and video taping sessions Maintain a caseload of 12 families
Complete all required documentation in accordance with BSFT, NAFI and OCFS requirements
Collaborate with Department of Social Services on family's needs and services being provided
Assess risk and safety of children and develop safety plans as needed
Assist families with navigating entitlement benefits and concrete needs as needed
Work closely with stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and goal attainment
The requirements for a BSFT Therapist include:
Required Master's degree in social work, counseling or a related area
Two years related experience in Therapy and/or training preferred
Experience with troubled and/or delinquent adolescents preferred
Valid driver's license, vehicle and willingness to travel throughout other counties
Experience in child welfare preferred
